Wine Description
As its name suggests, Riesling Alte Reben comes from one of our older vineyards. The vines were planted back in the 1960s. They produce high quality and due to the age of the vines, the grapes and berries are very small. This also means that they have a very high ripening potential. The harvest takes place rather late. The vineyard is located at about 320 meters above sea level on loamy soil with flint rock. The Riesling Alte Reben 23 is a beautiful dry white wine with ripe fruit, fine minerality, and a long finish. 10% maceration (carbonic maceration, 8 days) rounds off the finely fruity wine with a little tannin and provides more fullness. A Riesling that is also well suited as a food companion.
