Pannonisch Rot 2023

Pannonisch Rot 2023
Sustainable AustriaLeithaberg DAC

Wine Description

The classic red wine from Kirchknopf. After 18 months of aging in large wooden barrels, our signature red variety, Blaufränkisch, is blended with a touch of Merlot and Zweigelt to create a fruit-forward, juicy, and spicy composition. Pannonisch Rot is velvety, smooth, and expressive. It promises exceptional drinking pleasure for any occasion and unmistakably embodies the winemaker’s signature style.

Tasting Notes

Deep, dark ruby-garnet color with violet highlights and a delicate lightening at the rim. Red berry fruit underpinned by herbal notes, a hint of mint, and a touch of heart cherries; an inviting bouquet. Juicy and elegant, with a fine tannin structure, mineral and salty notes, nuances of red fruit, and a delicate tobacco-like quality; a good food pairing with potential.

Food Pairing

Pairs wonderfully with pizza, pasta, steaks, and game dishes. A versatile accompaniment that’s also great served chilled in the summer.
